No online for Guitar Hero 3 Wii

Red Octane President Kai Huang confirmed that the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 will not have online – not initially, at least. There were no specifics as to given why nor any time frame of when to expect it. All the Kai Huang was willing to divulge was that Red Octane was actively working with Nintendo to get said features included. Without online, Wii users will not be able to download new songs, or participate in the online multiplayer. The PS3 and 360 versions are still set to release with full online capabilities.
Nintendo’s lackluster online service is most likely the reason for this – the Wii is notorious for its lackluster online. Currently, there are only a handful of Wii games that support online, and is also hindered by its convoluted twelve digit friend codes. Check back for more updates as they come.
Guitar Hero 3 is due out for the PS2, PS3, 360, and Wii this October. Pre-order it now at PlayAsia!

Man, Nintendo keeps dropping the ball on this stuff. Get it together with online play, god forbid they drop the ball with Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
